Here are some topics that Christy enjoys addressing. She frequently customizes messages for groups, as well.

Inside Out God – Christy’s most popular topic. This teaching explores the movement of God through scripture from the outside to the inside of His people, and His ultimate desire to relate to us in a way that impacts the world around us – from the inside out. Using a series of three drawings, this teaching will challenge listeners to pursue the relationship with God that He has always intended for His people. (Suitable for a single session or a retreat.)

Limiting Labels and the Power of Potential – Based on the story of Gideon from Judges 6, this teaching helps listeners to let go of labels they’ve carried through life, and equips them to realize God’s power in the present and understand the way He views their potential. Each time this message is delivered, individuals write about the way their lives have been changed.

Prepare to Travel – When the Israelites shared the Passover meal, God was sending a clear message in His specific instructions: Prepare to travel. In this session, the listener will discover three areas (represented by the cloak, sandals, and staff) that may be holding them back and how to address each.

Almost – The “almosts” of life can be paralyzing. They can also reshape us; almosts can become turning points. This message explores how we can get free from almosts that have held us for years.

Lowering the Nets – A new look at the story of Simon Peter’s big catch (Luke 5). At some point, we’ve all been asked to put out for the deep and lower the nets, through life’s experiences and trials. This session expands this Sunday-school story into the modern day, examining Simon Peter’s obedience in the moment and his lack of expectations for the outcome.

Moving toward Multiplication – Based on the story of the feeding of 5000. What if, instead of multiplying temporal things around us, God’s intent is to multiply us? A thought-provoking look at this familiar story.

The Rest Is Still Unwritten – A four session journey for a weekend retreat, designed to help participantsrecall God’s faithfulness and realize His plan for their lives, with both Old and New Testament scriptures and stories.

Taking on the Giants of Fear and Pride – A 40-minute session that delves into the classic story of David and Goliath, uncovering new truths while looking at daily struggles with fear, pride and ordinariness
